Update to the UK property funds suspensions

Further to our last update on property fund suspensions issued in March 2020, there has been some positive new developments to update advisers on.

Most of the UK property funds are now free from ‘material uncertainty’ as property valuations are now possible. However, the ability of the investment houses to execute sales continues to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Following this development, investment houses have consulted with their stakeholders over fund flows and provided some assurances by increasing cash positions within their funds. In many cases, this review has seen funds reopen and asset valuations have remained stable in the short term.
