FCA consults on guidance for firms distributing GI or pure protection products

The FCA conducted a review of general insurance (GI)  distribution chains during 2017 and 2018. Details of this review have now been published (TR19/2).

Following the findings of its review of GI distribution chains and the requirements introduced by the IDD, the FCA is looking to provide clarity on its expectations, particularly in relation to the design and distribution of insurance products. GC19/2 sets out the FCA’s expectations, which will form its guidance.
