SM&CR - New events, support and training opportunities
The extension of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR) to all FCA regulated firms takes place on 9 December 2019. The regime will have implications for both you and your firm. You will be required to make a number of changes to your policies and procedures.
With the FCA urging firms to start preparing for the new regime, now is the time to get things moving.
How are you getting on with your preparations?
Our dedicated SM&CR zone contains guidance, templates, videos and project plans to help you prepare for the regime. We can also provide training, workshops, onsite visits and coming soon, a new self-assessment to help you get on the right track. See more details below ...
Register today! SM&CR workshops
These half day workshop will cover the three pillars of the regime, providing practical suggestions and positive steps to enable you to implement the regime in your firm.
These workshops are aimed at senior individuals within core regime firms who will be responsible for implementing the SM&CR.
The workshops will involve guidance and discussion to help you:
- Decide how to allocate senior management roles, which roles within your firm will require certification and to whom the tier 1 and tier 2 conduct rules will apply.
- Complete statements of responsibility for your senior managers.
- Identify where your existing procedures may need to be adapted to address the new requirements.
- Understand the importance of educating your staff to understand how individual accountability and conduct rules will affect them.
11 half day workshops will take place at 6 locations throughout the UK. For full details, including an agenda, a full list of venues, and to register, click here.
Please note - We have limited spaces so have temporarily capped registrations at one per firm. Nearer the time we will add waiting list registrations where possible.

Watch out for an invitation email nearer the time of the event. Registration will open two weeks prior.
