Update - Financial crime: 5th money laundering directive

The fifth money laundering directive (5MLD) is due to be transposed into UK law on 10 January 2020. Some changes to your procedures will be required.

At the time of writing, there has been no formal published response to the Treasury consultation on the directive which took place earlier in 2019. The Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG) guidance also has not been updated to take account of the 5MLD changes.
