Insurance Distribution Directive - possible delay

You may be aware of recent publicity concerning a possible delay in the implementation of the Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) until October 2018. This has been proposed by the European Commission following requests from the European Parliament and sixteen member states.

The proposal is a result of concerns that insurance distributors will not be ready in time for the original implementation date of 23rd February 2018.
