UK exit from the EU - current position and information about Ireland

The European Council has recently reached agreement to introduce an implementation period for the UK's exit from the EU. This is planned to run from the formal exit date of 29 March 2019 until 31 December 2020. It is important to note that this forms part of the overall withdrawal agreement which has yet to be finalised so it is still potentially subject to change.

Aside from the financial, economic and political implications that this may have, there are important considerations for you if your firm currently passports into other EEA states, for example, using an IMD, MiFID or MCD passport.
