What to expect
Over a period of around18 to 24 months we will coach and facilitate within your business.
The programme is split into seven targeted stages and will be tailored throughout the process to meet the specific needs of your firm.
- Getting to know you
We’ll work with your senior management team to gain an understanding of your firm’s culture and its stage of development. Using tried and tested marketing tools we will help you review your current market positioning and consider whether, and to what extent, you’d like to change, including what your ideal client profile would be.
- Getting to know your team
Next, we’ll apply the same process to your advisers and administrative team. From this you’ll gain an understanding of how aligned your team is likely to be regarding any changes you would like to make, helping you develop effective plans that anticipate and actively manage any potential obstacles or resistance.
- Setting the long term plan
We’ll take what we’ve learned so far and use this information to help your senior team set key objectives for your business and a long-term, 18 to 36 month plan for meeting them.
- Assessing the operational impact
A focused risk assessment will identify what your new plans are likely to mean for your current use of technology, investment and advice processes. Part of this assessment will review your current use of resource and task allocation. This works best if your team can first keep records for two weeks of how they spend their time.
- Breaking it into bite sized chunks
We’ll work again with your senior team to develop a 90 day rolling action plan. We will focus on no more than three specific objectives for each 90 day period, driving the long-term operational and cultural changes you need to make in manageable, bite-sized chunks.
- Checking in with your team
It’s pivotal your advisers and administrative team are on board with your plans. They may have suggestions for tackling things in more efficient ways, or be able to spot practical challenges at the day-to-day operational level that are not apparent to the senior team. Before you get started, we’ll present your plans to them and address any immediate suggestions or concerns.
- Regular progress reviews
Once your plans are set, it’s over to you to see them through. We’ll help you keep your plans on track by reviewing your progress at the end of each 90 day plan period and by confirming your next objectives. We can also provide ongoing project management support if you feel your firm would benefit from this.
